Where do we hire?

Why Colombia?

Colombia was the first country where we recruited professionals. Discover why we chose Colombia here. Initially, we were skeptical—common associations with Colombia aren’t always positive. But reality is different: Those seeking a quality education in Bogotá must work hard and invest significantly. Graduates are extremely motivated to apply the time and money they’ve invested in their education profitably.

The opportunity to work for a European company leads to great appreciation and a desire to prove themselves. Despite good education, salaries for university graduates in Colombia are very low. Working for a foreign company not only offers better pay but also the chance to work from home. Considering Bogotá’s approximately 10 million inhabitants and an average commute of 1.5 hours each way, it’s easy to see why people seize this opportunity and value the trust placed in them.

Our initial skepticism quickly vanished when we met exceptional professionals with immense commitment and responsibility. These individuals didn’t shy away from challenges and were willing to invest more than expected to prove themselves. They quickly adapted to project requirements. It became evident that we could not only outsource simple, repetitive tasks but build entire project teams that independently immersed themselves in project demands. These teams conducted independent research, continuously educated themselves, and formed functional, self-reliant units. Our professionals demonstrated that they could not only execute tasks but also actively contribute to the development and success of projects.

Additionally, sourcing professionals was significantly easier. Employees are willing to work more than 40 hours per week, have less vacation time, and show high initiative in furthering their education. They invest in their own professional development and bring extraordinary commitment that extends beyond typical working hours.

“Once, I had a conversation with a new architect who had been with us for three months. When asked how her English was progressing, she told me she’d invested about 35% of her salary in an English course. She hadn’t even thought to ask if we’d cover the costs. We ended up paying for the course for six months. A German employee would hardly consider investing such a large part of their income in further education without first asking if the company would cover it.”
